Discover Italy’s Beauty: Milan to Lake Como Journey

Many complain about long reads. Many complain about the word “complain.” Many complain about the word “long read.” They say, “You write interestingly, but it’s too long, so much text! Write shorter.”…

Conclusions have been made, style studied, tone changed, the experiment begins. We were in Italy (just in May, not even a year has passed) and no long texts about it. Short and simple. Especially since we’re saving energy for Iceland, where there will be very, very, very, very,

very,

very many letters.

If you get tired of the word “Beautiful” — read the captions under the photos, there are a few other synonyms there.

Well, away with metaphors and complex sentences, away with speech patterns, inventions, and sharpness! Maximum “beautiful,” maximum exclamation marks, minimum commas!!! Everything is so simple, post-post-modernism! Let’s go!

Italy — A Very Beautiful Country!!!

Swiss mountains behind us. Close to us was the villa of Bill Murray, and even closer, years ago, Mussolini was killed by partisans.

Waiting for the Plane!

While waiting, many orthodox Jews in their traditional garbs passed by.

We Arrived! It’s Beautiful and Warm!

Here we are already in beautiful Italy. In the town of Bergamo — we flew there. It was rainy, but it didn’t affect the positive mood and beauty!

Due to my mistake with roaming, we almost ended up without accommodation at night.
We rented an apartment in a house from 1527.
In the photo on the right is a beautiful woven table, on the left is a tiny shutter holder.

This is my mom. Mom in Italy for the first time.

In the morning, we went for a walk. There is a lot to see in Bergamo! When we got home, it turned out that I forgot to buy matches:))) How to light the stove???!!!

But I went out and bought some! We were able to enjoy Italian food!

Bergamo city post office.
Spanish churros have petrified.

LAKE COMO

After a beautiful night, we took a train to a town near Lake Como! The lake is large — you can’t walk around it in a day. It is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world, we agree, but not a hundred percent, more like sixty percent! 😉

Around the lake, many beautiful and not so beautiful Hollywood celebrities build themselves beautiful villas. Because it’s beautiful!

THE TOWN OF LECCO

The town has many trees and various flowers. But of course — it’s warm here, and there’s plenty of water, after all, you haven’t forgotten? This is a town by the lake!

The weather was not the best, but it was enjoyable in its own way.
Lecco — one of the largest towns on the lake.
This is the full guest list for Mom’s birthday.
Poodle angry, cat nice.
Dead people.
Finding pizza at 4:00 PM — not an easy task.
Doves dumb, Lisa smart.

The weather, as they say — not for flying!!! But we’re not flying; we’re sailing on a boat to the central town by the lake))) But that’s tomorrow, and today we’re relaxing in a large white glass apartment with pizza and olives! Beautiful, right!

VARENNA

It was not the season, so the circular ferries around the lake were not running yet.
Reaction to espresso.

Sailing on the boat wasn’t scary! The stern captain and the sunshine promised no trouble, and there wasn’t any. The central town on the lake is considered the most beautiful in the vicinity. We agree! Celebrities think so too and build villas not far from here. Too bad they’re not labeled, otherwise, we might have dropped by for tea with Jolie and Brad! 😉

This is the kind of ferry that crosses between the shores of Como.
Snow-capped alpine peaks loom in the distance.

BELLAGIO

Living here is probably wonderful.

The secret of Europe — the narrower the street, the more beautiful it is.

Waiters are not averse to posing a little.

FERRY BELLAGIO — MENAGGIO — VARENNA

The return ferry to Varenna made a stop in another town — Menaggio.
Very interesting to watch Menaggio/not interesting to watch Menaggio
Lisa and I in old age.
Oh no, it’s Eric Idle and a woman.

AGAIN VARENNA

Mom discovered Facebook for herself, Dad gave his bread to the ducks.

As we left — we definitely decided that someday we’d walk or ride bikes around the lake. It’s so beautiful!

MILAN

We arrived in the fashion capital — Milan! Everything here is trendy and stylish. In short, beautiful. Everywhere we hear Russian-speaking people — they came to shop. And are we worse? How so? HOW??!!!! HOW!!!!!! We also went shopping — although it was grocery shopping, but the dinner was good!

This is what the Duomo cathedral looks like in the morning.

The cathedral is very sharp and beautiful. Very huge!

Going around it from four sides is not enough.
If you look a bit lower, you’ll find crowds of people.

PEOPLE OF MILAN

La Scala, and all that jazz.

We walk around Milan, then spend the night in a hostel on the edge of the city. Resting on the balcony and eating cheese! Nice!

In the Milan metro, there are no drivers, so you can feel like a real train driver by sitting by the windshield!

MORNING IN MILAN

In the morning, we wake up with Lisa and run to stroll around the waking city. Good morning, beautiful Milan!

In the morning (at 6:30), there is a bunch of pigeons and a couple of Chinese who have arranged a photo shoot on the Duomo square.
Wall guys.
Trees on balconies are an absolutely common thing in Italy.

BACK TO BERGAMO

Pointing at a fast-shrinking house.
Lisa is unhappy because I took the camera away from her.

We enjoyed the trip, and so did our parents! Undoubtedly — the most beautiful is around the lake. Milan is also beautiful but loses to the other cities of Italy. It is probably good for a particular event in specific fields!

That’s the end of our primitive short read. We hope you rested and gained strength before reading about the trip to Iceland. It will be 600 times more and longer.

Chao everyone!
